Quickstart
1. Add rho to your agent
Section titled “1. Add rho to your agent”rho’s MCP URL:
https://api.rho.store/mcpIn Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user rho https://api.rho.store/mcpFor other clients, see Connect an agent.
2. Sign in and allow it
Section titled “2. Sign in and allow it”The first time the agent uses rho, it opens rho in your browser (in Claude Code, run /mcp and choose rho). Sign in with the link rho emails you (there is no password, and a first sign-in makes your account), then choose what the agent may do:
- Read and write: it can make and change tables, share them and make receipts.
- Read only: it can list, describe and query tables and read their history, and nothing else.
Then allow it. You can see and disconnect your agents on the Agents page of the rho app.
3. Ask for a table
Section titled “3. Ask for a table”Ask the agent for something worth keeping, for example:
Find ten open-source vector databases and save them in rho as research/vector-dbs, with their licence and GitHub stars.
The agent calls write_table. Then, in a new session:
What’s in research/vector-dbs? Which licences are most common?
It finds the table with list_tables, reads it with describe_table and answers with query. Ask it to share the table, and you get a link that opens it in the browser, for anyone who has it.
4. Look at it
Section titled “4. Look at it”Open the rho app to see your tables. Each one shows its rows and a summary of each column. Its History panel lists every version, who made it and why, with a button to restore any of them. See The rho app.
To put a file in as a table, drop it anywhere in the app: see Upload a file.
