# Quickstart

> Connect an agent to rho and make your first table.

## 1. Add rho to your agent

rho's MCP URL:

```
https://api.rho.store/mcp
```

In Claude Code:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user rho https://api.rho.store/mcp
```

For other clients, see [Connect an agent](/docs/connect/claude-ai/).

## 2. Sign in and allow it

The first time the agent uses rho, it opens rho in your browser (in Claude Code, run `/mcp` and choose rho). Sign in with the link rho emails you (there is no password, and a first sign-in makes your account), then choose what the agent may do:

- **Read and write**: it can make and change tables, share them and make receipts.
- **Read only**: it can list, describe and query tables and read their history, and nothing else.

Then allow it. You can see and disconnect your agents on the **Agents** page of the rho app.

## 3. Ask for a table

Ask the agent for something worth keeping, for example:

> Find ten open-source vector databases and save them in rho as research/vector-dbs, with their licence and GitHub stars.

The agent calls `write_table`. Then, in a new session:

> What's in research/vector-dbs? Which licences are most common?

It finds the table with `list_tables`, reads it with `describe_table` and answers with `query`. Ask it to share the table, and you get a link that opens it in the browser, for anyone who has it.

## 4. Look at it

Open the [rho app](https://rho.store) to see your tables. Each one shows its rows and a summary of each column. Its **History** panel lists every version, who made it and why, with a button to restore any of them. See [The rho app](/docs/guides/the-app/).

To put a file in as a table, drop it anywhere in the app: see [Upload a file](/docs/guides/upload/).
