# ChatGPT

> Add rho to ChatGPT as a connector.

ChatGPT connects to MCP servers such as rho in developer mode.

1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings** and turn on **Developer mode**. On a Business, Enterprise or Edu plan, an admin may need to allow it first.
2. Back in **Apps & Connectors**, choose **Create**.
3. Name it `rho`, give it the URL below, and choose **OAuth** for authentication. Leave the client ID and secret empty: rho registers ChatGPT itself.

4. rho opens: sign in, choose **Read and write** or **Read only**, and allow it.

In a chat, choose rho from the tools menu. ChatGPT asks you to confirm each call that writes. That includes `query`, which can save its result as a table or make a receipt, even when a call only reads.
